Manufacturing Procedures of Structural Aluminum Extrusion

　　As an important part of deep processed aluminum products, structural aluminum extrusion has its own manufacturing procedures. Although the procedures may overlap those of other aluminum products, they differ a lot in details.

　　The first procedure is casting. Raw materials need to be reasonably prepared with correct alloys and amounts. Then workers will put them into smelters for fusion, in which process useless gas and slags should be removed effectively. Clean aluminum liquid goes into deep well of casting system and becomes aluminum bars of various shapes and sizes. The second procedure, extrusion forming, serves as the method of making structural aluminum extrusion into shapes. This includes a process for air blast quenching and artificial aging. The last procedure proves to be color coating, in which anodizing process plays a key role. The anti-corrosion property of cast structural aluminum extrusion can be greatly strengthened by anodizing process, which also makes it more attractive in look and more wear resistant. Before anodizing the surface must be cleaned until the layer of artificial oxide is fully revealed. During anodizing some small holes come into being. Workers should fill these holes with metal salt, which can bring out different colors like black, copper, golden etc.
